New Archives and Editor

2016-11-29

We are delighted to announce that all previous issues (2006-2015) of the Journal of Youth Development (JYD) are now available in the archives. It’s now easy to search by keyword, author or title. PDFs of articles can be easily downloaded. Special thanks to the whole team involved in making this possible.

We regret the longer than expected delay in making the archives available and the absence of any issues thus far this year. We are hoping to make up for it in 2017 with all of your help -- and that of our new editor, Dr. Kate Walker!

Kate Walker, University of Minnesota Extension Specialist in Youth Work Practice, will become the editor of JYD in 2017. Kate has been a member of the Publications Committee as well as a co-editor of a special issue featuring 100 years of research in youth development (Volume 6, Number 3, 2011). She has already been working on a special issue for 2017 on practitioner inquiry, and on a new look for the journal’s website (coming in 2017). Please help us welcome and support Kate in her new role. She may be reached at kcwalker@umn.edu.

We look forward to making JYD the best journal for bridging research and practice in youth development. Thanks for bearing with us during this unduly long transition and join us in moving the journal and the field of youth development forward.

Sincerely,

Dale A. Blyth, PhD and Mary E. Arnold, PhD
